| sigh. korean player died in car accidente outside SBA. going to airport to fetch huiying later. about fundraising yesterday. tiring man. |
hmmm..
lots to say i guess.
yesterday did fundraising for the eldercare programme.
went with this girl called joyce from 212.
i only sold 16 pens lah!
but ohwell.
yesterday's sales was really bad.
everybody didnt manage to sell alot.
and even the highest fundraiser geraldine
who sells about 100 a day
only sold 20. that was when i saw her at around 6 plus when we walked back to chinacourt lah
and i walked for around SEVEN hours.
not easy okay.
i had no water so i went to buy kikapoo. [how to spell?]
and the box sure is heavy..
i mean with all the coins inside...
luckily people usually donate notes
haha
oh and our first destination was dhpby ghaut.
then dunno why.
we got chased off by the guard.
not exactly chased but he told us to leave.
like wth.
i heard them saying the police gave youth challenge permission to sell OUTSIDE plaza sing!
freakking.
then after that we took 190 to chinatown.
we were supposed to go to choa chu kang but i forgot it was the wrong direction[oops/]
then we hung around chinatown for awhile. trying to get people to buy.
but then everybody there like only speak chinese, so very hard to communicate fluently. haha
so we left and walked to chinacourt. which was quite far away =/
we ate lunch at chinacourt the sort of restaurant there, quite nice lah, or at least the chicken rice is(=
after that we went up to chinacourt to ask for directions to walk to raffles place
and the secretariat was like don't go raffle splace.
got quite a few there already.
but we didnt care and so we asked this woman for directions.
she was nice and brought us there then we went to ask for donations.
like so tiring.
i definitely said more "thank you, have a ncie day"
more than the content itself lah.
its like "hello.. would you like to buy a pen?/good afternoon mister, i'm a volunteer from youth challenge.thank you have a nice day."
its like the person will immediately wave you off.
so like -.-
sigh.
AND I SORT OF GOT CHEATED.
by another person called nickey from this life care centre company. he said dunno what rubbish then the agreement was that we buy one of his stupid magnets from him to reach his quota then he buy 5 from us.
but then joyce didnt have any money. so i gave $10.
and after that, i think this rgs girl also doing the fundraising approached him then asked why he was doing that. dunno what rubbish. and when joyce told him you promised to buy 2 pens from me, he sort of started giving excuses. he said dunno what he don't have money with him currently then dunno what hp in office give hp no. was so pissed okay. so yeah i took hsi no.
then we continued selling and met ths girl called nadzirah in RJ next year.
and joyce had to leave at like 4 plus so i sort of did with her.
but of course we did seperately lah
and she also said she gave the frigging guy $20. wth.
and that his office very nearby only that he go up to take money then come back down to buy from us. wth
i bet they're all lies lah.
frigging.
i am so not going to believe this kinda stuff again.
should have just told him to take out the money same time as i did.
FREAK.
whatever. thinkign of him makes me pissed. so yeah.

and... a korean that took part in youth international got knocked down by a car.
yesterday around 11.45/ 12 noon like that.
its like damn sad lah.
some of the players actually witnessed the whole thing
cos' it happened right outside SBA...
its on nespaper straits times today. third page i think.
its really saddening.
she flew 25 METRES okay.
like. OMG.
25 metres.
i think the situation was like
the girl and her two friends wanted to jaywalk across the road. then you know korea is usually drive right side of the road right? so she probably looked left only then she crossed. but her friends didnt cross i think/ then at that moment. a car was speeding and then it knocked her down and she flew 25 metres. there were still the bloodstains yesterday. amanda was telling me today.
they said the car was speeding because the light was orange turning red.. then the driver sped up so that she could make it cross.
seriously, it must have been VERY FAST. like the victim FLEW 25 METRES!
and i think she hit her head directly... so she was brain dead at that moment when she landed.
she didnt die instantly though.
she was brought to hospital and died at around 5 pm.
also. the driver was A KOREAN NATIONAL. singapore PR. but still?
its like your own country..
my coach was saying very unlcuky. must be shang4 bei4 zi qian4 ta1 de.
sigh.
the whole korean team cried and they withdrew from the competition.
karen[yuen], my senior was scheduled to play with ehr at one plus. but then...
yeah...
karen cried. and stupid sba still wanted her to WAIT at the court for 5 minutes so then they can announce walk over can. like wth.
the korean management already told them she was in the hospital/
how do they even expect her to turn up then?
stupid leh. how long you wait also she will never come lah. cos... she CAN'T.
and winnie witnessed the whole thing. plus a few other people too.
amanda[soh] told them to stand out as witnesses.
but then this person's father told them NOT to okay!
so irresponsible!
he was saying got enough witness already. not need to go lah./ don't make until the woman driver go to jail.
STILL. its SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY!
even if the police doesnt need your statement. at least you stood out!
at least you tried to help! i mean. what if your statement could help the victim's family fight for justice!
i know its not exactly the driver's fault, but still? both had faults.
and the driver should be responsible for hers.
really hope the girl's parents wont be too distraught.
miss james once said its even more saddening for a parent to go through the torture of her children dead then the opposite. i guess it does makes sense.
as i was reading the papers just now/.
i cried/teared a little.
i mean... its really so sad..
daughter comes to take part in competition.
and instead of seeing her back in korea smiling happily with perhaps a trophy in her hand,
her parents come here to receive her body.
sigh.
man proposes, god disposes.

and we did a little weights today.

and cheryl went for that TODAY TOMORROW AND FRIDAY lah.

i mean. i so guai choose non training days leh.
so stupid.
